When I was a kid, I was given a telescope for Christmas and went to the dead end street behind us every night with my friends who had telescopes
and tried identifying stars and planets with our astronomy guide at hand. I'm not sure how many we found but it was fun trying. Maybe with video games
and hundreds of TV channels, kids don't have the desire to do such things these days.
