Ok, you're right, skiing and snowboarding are not officially extreme sports. But anybody who goes flying down the side of a steep mountain, standing on
a piece or two of polished wood, on slippery ice and snow, surrounded by trees, in the frigid cold of winter, is some kind of extreme! Heck, I would got
nervous going UP the mountain on those ski lifts with my feet dangling 50 feet above the ground on a flimsy little bench that's hanging onto a wire with a
skinny little hook.
