People usually associate renting a car with flying somewhere on vacation and needing to rent a car to get around. But there are other reasons for
renting a car. We sometimes want to go on a driving trip and our little Mazda that gets great gas mileage for everyday driving is just not big enough
for the whole family to be comfortable on a long driving vacation. So we got to our car rental agency and rent a Mercury Marquis or a minivan or an
SUV. Sure, the gas mileage will take a hit but the comfort will make up for that. You'd be amazed at how reasonable the weekly car rental rates are
if you give them enough advanced notice and shop around for specials. You may also wish to rent a minivan to move some odds and ends from one location to the other or an SUV just for something different for a weekend trip.
